marketplace for digital art
Professional networking - 2th edition
For this 9th edition, Elektra will delight digital cultures aficionados with a fine selection of the latest contemporary pieces. Performances, immersive shows, interactive installations and videomusic performances will represent as many occasions to experience singular works. This year also marks an interesting turning point in the evolution of the Festival. Indeed, Elektra has expanded its network of collaborators and will, as a result, offer many activities outside the walls of Usine C, including at Cinémathèque Québécoise and the Skol Gallery. Steadfast in our will to propose ever-bolder works that combine leading-edge electronic music and contemporary visual creative, this 9th edition will once again be a great opportunity to discover the full scope of the effervescence that animates the local and international digital scenes.
Building on the success of the first edition of the International Digital Art Market last year, Elektra is now hosting the second edition of its professional tier. This auxiliary activity invites Canadian and professional artists from the field (producers, agents, broadcasters, commissioners, journalists and event organizers), from Europe, Asia and both Americas, who will all share and exchange in the perspective of establishing new collaborations and expanding distribution opportunities outside of this country for local artists.
Thursday, May 8, will be dedicated to presentations and speeches from international event and/or organization representatives, among others:
